For MXM (Meredith), I recently completed a project with a different style, for State Farm--it's called Survival Tales, and covers three true-life stories of everyday people who have suffered major tragedies--fire, a tornado, and a hurricane. Each tale is narrated by the actual person--first, on-camera, then in animated form. With some experimentation, I was able to find a way to create what is called the "boiling effect"--in which drawn lines wiggle from frame to frame, adding an extra layer of organic feeling to the animation (similar to the effect seen on "Dr. Katz".)
Here's one of the three tales--be sure to check out the entire video online, once it is up.
